Smalva river is the wildest one of those we run our tours at. It is a real adventure as this river is rarely used for kayaking.

This tour is for brave adventurers; it's not for those who want to simply sit back in a kayak. Unexpected things will happen on your way - obstacles, fast currents, wild animals, beavers' dams. But don't worry, you'll still be able to recharge and appreciate the natural landscape.

This tour is also a unique opportunity to see the first railway in Lithuania as well as the "tsar's steps" and the bridge reflecting the industrial heritage of the tsar's rule.
We promise, this tour will be full of stories and new experiences! Hop on!
We meet at Visaginas train station. We then hike from the train station to the beginning of kayaking at lake Smalvas (about 1 hour).

You will receive kayaks, life jackets, paddles and listen to safety instructions.
Guided kayaking
Now it's time to fully immerse yourself into the wild!

By most part the route follows a river, but due to its wilderness, it may not be always easy to pass.

During the tour you will experience and enjoy the beauty of unspoilt nature. There will be obstacles and waterfalls along the way, so get ready for an adventure!

There will be a rest break in the middle of the route where you will enjoy hot tea and snacks.
After about 3 hours we will arrive at the end of the route. We will then conveniently transfer you back to Visaginas
(about 20 minutes).
